SPEAK-OUT #1: Gas Prices

I, in fact, live in the United States and every day on the news I hear people complaining about the gas prices. Many people estimate the price will be at $5.00 by summer and that it will stay there or rise, but surely not go down. This is a bad thing for us Americans because about every five out of seven people have a car, or maybe two! I know this is a major issue but unless we use less gas, we are bringing the problem onto ourselves. Also, my family and I hope to travel to Germany soon to see relatives and the sights. We would love to take a cruise around the peninsulas, but that will cost thousands of dollars! I hope we can find an energy source that can be a good alternative to gasoline soon.

I live in England and petrol as we call it over here is really getting expensive and now the airports are saying they are going to put the prices up again because of this and it makes me so cross as my family all wants to come to America next year but won't be able to afford it if the petrol goes up even higher on planes.
